Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our remote team in developing and managing Infrastructure / Automation / Middleware solutions that support Lustre deployments. This role focuses on API interfaces, monitoring, high availability, and integrations to enhance Lustre's performance in AI and HPC environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Design and oversee integration / automation / middleware architecture, including API interfaces, message queues, and integration patterns for Lustre.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and high availability solutions to ensure robust Lustre deployments.
- Coordinate with development teams to integrate automation / middleware with cloud, HPC, and AI systems.
- Drive optimizations for scalability, security, and performance in distributed environments.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to open-source integration / automation / middleware tools and community efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 4 years of proven technical management or leadership experience in software engineering and/or related systems roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficiency in C, Rust, and Python for automation / integration / middleware and systems programming.
- Expertise in integration, automation and middleware technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, API gateways) and high availability setups (e.g., clustering, load balancing).
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms and HPC integrations.
- Experience with Jira, Git, and Agile development methdology
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with storage in systems like Lustre or similar.
- Contributions to open-source storage and systems management projects.
- Knowledge of security protocols and compliance in enterprise environments.
- Certifications in cloud, automation, integration and other middleware technologies.
